Hey gang! This week’s patch are live, let's take a look and see what neat things we've added to Megopoly this time!
What are Balloon Drops and how do they work?
When players next log in they may notice a new feature pop-up called Balloon Drops. These drops will give players a reward when they land on the specific space. Unlike Welcome bonuses, players won't collect Balloon Drops if they move past them so make sure to plan your rolls carefully! These rewards are random, both on what they give out to players and where they will appear on the board.
Players will have to act fast if they want to collect their rewards. Once a Balloon Drop triggers, a countdown will start on the player's screen, letting players know how much time they have left to collect it. Follow the arrow to the spot marked on the board and collect your reward! Inside a Balloon Drop, players can find a bunch of bonus Credits, with more rewards coming soon.
Revenge and Thief card modifications
Thief and Revenge cards are receiving a small rework to make them feel a little fairer and more fun for players to use. Both cards will now take Credits from players instead of Coins. This is a pretty big change to the system but how the cards function but in the interest in keeping the game fun, it is important. Losing some hard-earned Coins thanks to a Thief card feels pretty bad and relying on Revenge cards to get back wasn’t the best feeling either.
Along with the currency change, players will be able to use Thief and Revenge cards starting at level 1 and the minimum Coin requirement needed for players to steal is also removed.
Let us know what you think about the changes to the Revenge and Thief cards and what you think about the Balloon Drops. These are just the beginning of the major changes coming to Megopoly and we’re so excited to share them with you!
